Wenli KANG

Doctorante

She is a PhD student at Nantes University, and works in the laboratory GEPEA (GEnie des Procédés Environnement - Agroalimentaire) UMR CNRS 6144, France.

Wenli KANG has completed her Bachelor’s study from China Agriculture University (2006-2010) and obtained her Master’s degree from Beihang University (2010-2013). She is supported by China Scholarship Council (CSC) and will finish her PhD study in 2016. She is interested in cultivation of microalgae in bioreactor for production of Bio-fertilizer and other high value products.

Her PhD program is targeted to study the process of ammonium production by culturing selected strains of diazotrophic cyanobacteria, Anabaena variabilis. The aim is to improve this bioproduction within photobioreactors in order to evaluate its feasibility as a source of N-fertilization for microalgae cultivations.
